Go for Grace 5

If you want to keep basking in the grace of God in the journey of life, prayer is inevitable. Scripture says, “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) because prayer is what gives you access to grace. At the root of a man enjoying grace is a life of prayer. In Acts 4:31-33 it says of the Apostles, “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.” When prayer is a lifestyle, grace is available.

God gives grace to the humble and one of His requirements of expressing humility is to pray. Hence, He says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray…” (2 Chronicles 7:14). Meaning if you are humble, then pray and you will command God’s attention who gives grace to the humble.

Elijah was a man of like passion, but he could do extraordinary things because he was a man of prayer (James 5:17). Are you in need of grace to run the race of life then you have the key to approach it which is prayer. “If there is a man to pray, there is a God to answer.” God is waiting for you in the secret place to continually shower His grace on you. If you can dwell in the secret place, then you will display grace unlimited in the open place to the glory of God.
