Who do you stand with? The man you stand with is more important than what you stand for. Characters and attitude are acquired. Don’t be in a company where your deficient character is not complimented. Influence is a strong force. Evaluate people from distance before you accept them in your company. Favor is a man and misfortune is also a being. When Lot left Abraham, abundance left him. The green vegetation won’t produce for long when the blessed man is gone. Lot lost wealth and preservation because he lacked this truth. To Lot, wealth was the abundance of green vegetation. Though, the climatic conditions may be favourable, if the right man is not there, crisis set in.

Wealth is a man. God expressly declared it in Psalm 17:14, “From men which are thy hand, O LORD…” A man is the hand of God. You can’t proceed far enough without the presence of a man. Abraham was planted in the life of Lot to make it sweet, but Lot lost sight of that, if he ever had a revelation at all. There are people that walk out of your life, favour ceases. Some destinies are held together. There is no way Lot was going to experience a meaningful destiny without the assistance of Abraham. God connected him to Abraham for a reason, but he was too blind to see that and chose a place rather than the ‘Who’ before him. Human development is more of the ‘Who’ you meet than where you see. The buildings of academic institutions do not change your life as much as the teachers do. No wonder when Jesus asked Peter if he would also leave as others, and he replied “Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.” John 6:68.
