The Wonders of Zion 2

Apostle Johnson Suleman

Bible Text

And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Isaiah 2:3

Devotional

Zion is a place of the word of God. The word of healing, the word of deliverance, hope, peace, joy, salvation, repentance, etc. It is a place where one’s God nature is enforced. “If he called them gods unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken” (John 10:35). In Zion, faith springs up and keeps increasing as one encounters the word because faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). And as one’s faith increases, one pleases God as Hebrews 11:6 declares, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Out of Zion goes forth the word of God which is “The rod of thy strength” which empowers you to rule in the midst of your enemies (Psalm 110:2). “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword…” (Hebrews 4:12). The word of God enables you to exercise dominion. When it enters you, its knowledge makes you free, enabling you to dominate what earlier dominated you in ignorance (John 8:32; Psalm 82:5-7).

The word of God in Zion births glorious destinies. It discovers, recovers, directs and guides destinies to fulfillment. Hence Psalm 87:5 says, “And of Zion it shall be said, this and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.” What the word of God in Zion does are inexhaustible. Make it a point of duty to be regular in Zion for the word.

Prayer

My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive fresh grace to be regular in Zion.
