Apostle Johnson Suleman

By

Apostle Johnson Suleman

Bible Text

Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people His doings.

Psalm 9:11

Devotional

God’s presence is resident in Zion because it is His house built and dedicated to Him. Hence He is great in Zion (Psalm 99:2). His presence is awesome there.

In the book of Chronicles chapter 6, after Solomon completed the building of God’s house, a place for His dwelling, he dedicated it praying to God, “Have respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee: That thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night upon the place whereof thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there, to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place. Hearken therefore unto the supplication of thy servant and of thy people Israel…” (2 Chronicles 6:19-21).

See what 2 Chronicles 7:1-2 declares, “Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house. And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the Lord’s house.”

Fellowshipping in Zion is a fellowship with divinity. God’s presence is mighty in Zion and in His presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand are pleasures forever more (Psalm 16:11). That is why when you fellowship with God in Zion, unspeakable joy drowns every form of sorrow that came with you. His presence beautifies you, taking away whatever characterizes ugliness in your life. Psalm 50:2 declares, “Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty.”

As you come henceforth to Zion, the house of God, come with understanding knowing fully well that you are coming to meet with God and you can’t remain the same.

Prayer

My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, thank you for your awesome presence in Zion.
