Bible Text

Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

Jeremiah 32:27

Devotional

We serve a God of great possibilities. There is nothing too hard for Him to do. With Him all things are possible (Matthew 19:26), including that thing of yours that you are wondering how it could be fixed. If God is your Father, then trust Him and rely on Him to satisfy your heart desires, meeting your needs. You don’t have to figure out how He would do them, because He is God and can do all things. He can create something out of nothing—beauty out of ashes, water out of the rock, rivers in the desert, a way in the wilderness. When He says a thing, hold on to His word, that promise of His and consider it done. When the circumstances on ground contradict His promise, rest on His integrity, because He cannot fail or go back on His word.

See what He declared in Isaiah 55:11: “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Scripture says, “As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child, even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all” (Ecclesiastes 11:5).

Therefore, trust God to meet your needs. Reject the suggestions of the devil. Resist him and he would flee from you. Wait for God to bring His promises to pass in your life and you will not be put to shame. Never be in a hurry or allow yourself to be pressured like Saul and he committed a blunder by stepping into the office of prophet Samuel.

What God cannot do does not exist. If He made Sarah a proud mother, shut the mouth of Peninnah, blessed Hannah with six children, navigated Joseph to the palace, then rejoice; your affairs would be taken care of by Him.

Prayer

My Father, my Father! As I begin to pray, I make my boast in You, for all my affairs are guaranteed in You.
