The Gospel of Christ

Child of God, allow the Spirit of God to overwhelm your heart with His love, for that is the gospel of Christ. The gospel of Christ is the gospel of love. Without love, there is no Christianity. Salvation was on the platform of love (John 3:16). Love is so vital in the kingdom. It is the first fruit of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23. It is the nature of God and the determining factor of your knowledge of God, for in 1 John 4:7-8, scriptures say, “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love.” Whoever is born of God does not have to struggle to love but is propelled and helped to love by the Spirit. “…the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Romans 5:5). But why then is there so much hatred, envying, wrath, strife among believers?

Brethren lying against brethren without an iota of guilt; unnecessary rivalry and unholy competition everywhere. It is because of carnality. Galatians 5:16 says, “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” The love of many has waxed cold. They have drifted from their first love. When you love Him, His love constrains you (2 Corinthians 5:14). Your conscience is alive and would never be at peace in accommodating offence against God or man, likewise, keeping malice or committing any form of unrighteousness against your neighbour.

Let your life preach the gospel. Let it be a concern about the pains of your neighbour as the Lord Jesus; the High Priest of our faith is concerned about you.
