Bible Text

Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

Psalm 48:11

Devotional

In Zion, the judgment of the Lord is enforced and battles no matter how fierce and terrible against God’s people are terminated and victory enforced. Psalm 76:2-3 says, “In Salem also is His tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion. There brake he the arrows of the bow; the shield and the sword and the battle.” That is why to stay off Zion in the face of terrible battles is to be ignorance of the power that is resident in Zion. God is beautiful for situation in Zion however it may be (Psalm 48:2).

In Zion, “God standeth in the congregation of the mighty: He judgeth among the gods” (Psalm 82:1). So even judgment that you desire from God concerning fellow believers and of the body of Christ, in Zion it is available.

Also in Zion, your eyes of understanding is enlightened, you get answers to questions of life which you seek answers to. David was once in a situation where he was envious of the foolish, when he saw the prosperity of the wicked. They are ungodly yet they prospered in the world, they increase in riches (Psalm 73:2-16). But when he went into the sanctuary of God, then he understood their end (Psalm 73:17).

Child of God, the beauty of Zion is truly inexhaustible. Isaiah 8:18 declares, “Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts which dwelleth in Mount Zion.” There is so much blessings for those who are regular in Zion.

Prayer

My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I take a fresh stand to be regular in Zion.
