More Honour from God

Apostle Johnson Suleman

By

Apostle Johnson Suleman

Bible Text

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Psalm 8:4-5

Devotional

Honour depends on how you treat somebody in your care. Also, it depends on individuality and maturity of people. Some people get offended at the respect and honour accorded to others, while some others find it difficult to give honour to another. What many have not realized is that the kingdom of God is a place of honour and respect. It is so evident that God gives man more honour than man could ever give himself or another fellow. He positions you for royalty (1 Peter 2:9).

As a matter of fact, God takes you from where you are to where you ought to be, if you would let Him. Moreover, our Lord Jesus admonishes that we give honour to whom honour is due (Luke 20:25).

However, men of the senses will only be judgmental because they are ruled by their flesh. Only God sees who you really are and values and honours you thereby bringing out the best in you.

Where people saw a shepherd, God saw a king in David. When others saw an old childless man, God saw the father of many nations in Abraham. It does not matter how people see you now. God sees a person of honour, and He is outwardly displaying that honour in your life; so, allow Him to take you to that place of honour that will bring glory to His name.

Prayer

My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, make me a vessel unto honour.
