Bible Text

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Genesis 1:28

Devotional

I welcome you to the month of September, and I decree upon your life that you will increase and multiply. You will dominate indeed, not by mere words, but by actions. Men will willingly submit to your voice because they will see the evidence in your life.

The reason why several believers are not dominating in the field of their endeavours is because they are yet to display kingdom prosperity by increasing and multiplying beyond the world. God created man and blessed them giving them the mandate to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it, and when these are in place, they can exercise dominion indeed over all as stated in our anchor text. So rather than complaining that men do not yield to your command, work on yourself and launch out in that business of yours; taking root and bearing fruits which men cannot deny but glorify God in your life. Scripture says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). It says so shine, going beyond just being fruitful to multiplying and replenishing the earth and subduing it by destroying and binding forces against your expansion.

As summarized in this teaching to two words: Increase and multiply! Isaac grew until he became very great and the Philistines envied him (Genesis 26:13-14). He had so much possessions as God prepared for the righteous and he became a voice which could not be ignored. As his father Abraham was a voice, so he also by reason of not only declaring dominion but by manifesting it in all areas of life. The word of the Lord to Abram in Genesis 12:2 became a reality in their lives.

Child of God, refuse to be poor or stagnated in any area of life. The poor man’s voice is not heard despite his wisdom because he lacks the evidence of dominion (Ecclesiastes 9:15).

Prayer

My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I arise to walk in dominion indeed.
