God Secures His Own 2

Child of God, no matter what threatens the safety of men, never lose consciousness of your safety in Christ Jesus. Never you give in to fear and expose yourself to danger. Fear is a torment and a tool of the adversary to get at you. If you are of God, He is committed to keeping you safe far above the operations of darkness. Listen, you are not operating in the same level as them. You are seated in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus far above all the operations of darkness. It is the lack of knowledge of where they are operating from that makes the redeemed to be victims of what they should dominate. But your case is different. So, stand strong having your loins girt about with the truth of your safety in Christ.

In the scenario of our text, Elisha’s servant screamed in fear when he saw what came up against them. He said, “Alas, my master! How shall we do?” He was troubled because he was blind to the safety already provided by God for His own. His master Elisha who had knowledge and was operating with open eyes replied him, “Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them” (2 Kings 6:15-16). And he prayed to God to open his eyes and his servant Gehazi saw the fortified defence around Elisha.

Just like Gehazi, that is how many believers are troubled at what is confronting them instead of being at peace with great confidence, boasting of the greater One in them and with greater forces of defence around them. What comes up against any child of God can never match what God has put in place to secure His own. No flood of life can overwhelm the ark of safety that you are in (Colossians 3:3), for when the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19).
