Triggers of Divine Favour 6

In the passage of scripture above, a woman who was not in the scheme of things when Jesus visited the house of Simon the leper, stole the show by anointing Jesus with a very precious ointment of spikenard in an alabaster box. She went all out to do what she could and Jesus commended her.

If you want to soar in divine favour, become a person of sacrifice. There are realms of favour you will never know until you are sacrificial. Serve God with a sacrificial mindset because sacrifice turns captivity around. You are rich because God wants to empower the church through you. God is not moved by your needs known but by your seeds sown. When you are a person of sacrifice, you become like a perfume to God, with a sweet fragrance. Your fragrance attracts favour and people cannot help but be a blessing to you. The Spirit of acceptance which opens you to being favoured then rests upon you. The Bible says, “And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil” (Deuteronomy 33:24).

Not until people begin to murmur about your sacrifice like Judas did about the woman who broke the alabaster box of ointment, you really have not started sacrificing to God. Until you come to a realm where you do not analyse the Spirit’s promptings to give, you have not truly become sacrificial. Mercy drops are for all; you can activate the true riches which are the showers by sacrificial living. I pray for you today, that the grace to sow sacrificially would rest upon you from henceforth.
