Bible Text

And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

2 Chronicles 20:20

Devotional

There is a prophet God has put over your life to get you to your Canaan, and you must ensure that you are connected to him. Prophets are carriers of divine favour and uncommon grace, and when you connect to them, you are preserved and favoured, and you receive a prophet’s reward (Matthew 10:41). Without a prophet, you may continue in your struggles for a long time. And since prophets are carriers of prosperity, your prophet is sent your way to provoke prosperity in your life. Your prophet is your profit.

You need a prophet to speak over your life to fast-forward the blessings of God on your life. The prophets of God with the Israelites helping them in Ezra chapter 5 enabled them to accomplish great things. The Bible says, “Then the prophets, Haggai the prophet, and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied unto the Jews that were in Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, even unto them. Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which is at Jerusalem: and with them were the prophets of God helping them” (Ezra 5:1-2).

The story of the woman in 2 Kings chapter 4 changed to favour when she encountered Elisha and hearkened to his instruction. I see you enjoying divine favour on every side as you walk in divine counsel.

Prayer

My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to walk in your counsel and enjoy divine favour.
